Outlets are installed in the ceiling or the floor of the rooms you want to air condition. Some larger rooms (open plan rooms) may require more then 1 outlet. Select zero if reusing duct and outlets ie. replacement ducted installations.

Zones enable you to open and close the airflow to different parts of your home with the push of a button. The enables you to air condtioning only the rooms you are using and save power. Maximum of 8 zones with standard manufacteres controllers.

The outdoor unit requires its own dedicated power circuit back to your electrical switchboard.

If the proposed ducted air conditioning system is required to do 2 storeys there will most likely be the need to install 'dropper ducts' these are the ducts that run from the upstairs ceiling to the downstairs ceiling, usually through a cupboard (assumes 3 dropper ducted needed). Underfloor systems can usually only do a single storey installation.
