Power for intercoms, by licensed electricians

Video intercom screens and door stations need power, and on many systems that comes from a network switch or power supply that needs a power point nearby. Automated gates need mains power at the gate motor.

We put the power where your security installer needs it, check the switchboard for safety switch (RCD) protection, and certify the mains work. Tell us which system is going in, and we'll quote the electrical side.

Power out to your gate

An automated gate needs mains power at the gate motor. Running cable out to a front gate usually means trenching for cable and conduit, unless there is a wall we can fix the cabling to, so we quote it separately once we have seen the site.

If your intercom installer needs a conduit out to the gate as well, tell us and we can lay it in the same trench.

Home intercom power

For a home intercom we can:

  • Add a power point for the indoor screen, network switch or power supply
  • Run mains power to an automated gate motor
  • Lay conduit to the gate for your installer's cabling
  • Check the switchboard has safety switch (RCD) protection

We provide a written quote before any work begins. Work out to a front gate is quoted separately, after we have seen the site.

Commercial sites

Businesses in Cheltenham, Moorabbin, Heatherton, and across Melbourne's South East often need power at several entry points, at gate motors, and for the equipment that runs a multi-door system. We quote the electrical side and work alongside your licensed security installer.

We do commercial electrical work for:

  • Office and retail tenancies
  • Warehouses and industrial facilities
  • Body corporate and strata buildings
  • Medical and professional suites
  • Industrial sites in the Moorabbin and Heatherton precincts

For businesses planning a broader fit-out, we can also do the power for CCTV and alarm systems in the same visit.

Combine it with other electrical work

If you're also looking at power for CCTV or alarms, a switchboard upgrade, or any other electrical work, we scope and schedule everything together. One team, one visit, one job.

We work across Cheltenham, Brighton, Moorabbin, Bentleigh, Bentleigh East, and Highett. Combining the work reduces call-out costs and the time your property is being worked on.
